The Formula Offroad race is part of Classic Car Week in Rättvik Sweden. And is Sweden’s biggest car meet, for the whole family.
The Formula Offroad event contains of two events, a day of Formula Offroad competition and one day when they drive on the water on Lake Siljan. The exact race dates will be added later.
This year will be the 28th edition of the Classic Car Week. The program for 2019 is expected to be completed by the end of February / March, and by the end of June / July the final program is ready. The development has been at least breathtaking. From the first meeting of spring 1991 when we started planning a summer event in Rättvik. At first we thought of doing a show, Rättvik Concours was its name. Then came proposals like cruising, back competition or maybe a market.
That’s when we came to the concept. We do everything at the same time, for a whole week.
Over the years we have had many different arrangements. Some have been around since the beginning, some have disappeared and others have been added. Nevertheless, just meeting each other, making new acquaintances, watching cars and relaxing is the most important thing.
The children who were with their parents in the first years have now bought their own cars they are participating in. Classic Car Week fits all ages, and that is exactly what is the success of Sweden’s biggest car event for the whole family.
